Hello all and welcome to my blog.  My name is Daniel and I'm from Mississippi.  I work as a systems and network administrator, and I have about 11 years experience working in IT on the Systems and Networking side of things.  I’ve started in 2010 as an AV tech at a local college I was attending.  I swapped career paths for a few years before getting back into IT in 2014.  This time I was working as a help desk technician.  My job duties still included AV setup and production, but this time I also was working with low level management of routing and switching as well as printer and system repair.  I did system configuration as well.  As time moved on, I got into managed DNS, Exchange, VOIP systems, backups, and so forth.  These days a lot of my job duties involve managing SaaS applications and a degree of project management.

Currently, I am studying software design in order to become more well-rounded in my tech career.  Ultimately, the goal of my studies is to land a remote job in SaaS/Cloud administration.  I also have a passion for fitness, music, and the arts.  In my free time I can usually be found in the gym or meal prepping (if I’m not working on a side project like one of my web apps).
